Yes, GIA, HRD and IGI all grade lab grown diamonds. Our MANUFAKTURDIAMANTEN over 0.5 ct are delivered with one of these certificates. At DIAVON, we mainly use the IGI report. On request, we can also provide your diamond of choice with a GIA or HRD certificate.

Our MANUFAKTURDIAMANTEN are created using state-of-the-art technology that replicates natural growing conditions in a zero-emission factory, such as that from the Diamond Foundry. The result is diamonds that are optically, chemically and physically identical to mined diamonds - without the negative impacts  of mining.

Lab grown diamonds are real diamonds created under a highly technological process. In a laboratory, the chemical and physical processes are recreated exactly as in the formation of natural diamonds.

As the name already says, lab grown diamonds are created in a laboratory. Every created diamond starts out as a small carbon particle, also called a "diamond seed". Then it is either exposed to extremely high temperatures and high pressure or it is subjected to a deposition process (known as CVD) to recreate the natural diamond formation. It then grows into a rough diamond in the laboratory within approximately six to ten weeks. Afterwards it gets cut and polished, just like a mined diamond.

You cannot distinguish a lab grown diamond from a mined diamond with the naked eye. You need special laboratory equipment to tell the difference, because lab grown diamonds have exactly the same optical, physical and chemical properties as well as the same crystal structure as mined diamonds - the only difference is their origin.

The physical, chemical and optical properties of a so called "synthetic" diamond and a natural diamond are identical. "Synthetic" diamonds are not fake or an imitation. On the contrary: synthetic diamonds are just as genuine as mined diamonds. The only difference is their origin, since synthetic diamonds are created in a lab.
